  • Quick way: unplug it, remove any battery, and don’t turn it on. Let it dry out, use a bunch of isopropyl alcohol wipes until it’s as clean as you can get it.

    Ideally: Take out the battery, don’t plug it in, don’t turn it on. Head over to ifixit.com and see if they have a guide for opening your laptop and removing the keyboard so you can thoroughly clean it and all underneath it. Clean it with isopropyl alcohol soaked q-tips and wipes. Put it back together again.

    EDIT: Make sure isopropyl alcohol is 90%
