Nice TV - in 2008, that went for $5k. It will definitely do 1080p at 60fps.

Movies are shot at 24fps, so True 24fps is a setting that reduce the picture to 24fps to match - if desired.

Maybe - it’s a worth a try letting it dry out first. You will need a repair if it doesn’t work.

Quick way: unplug it, remove any battery, and don’t turn it on. Let it dry out, use a bunch of isopropyl alcohol wipes until it’s as clean as you can get it.

Ideally: Take out the battery, don’t plug it in, don’t turn it on. Head over to ifixit.com and see if they have a guide for opening your laptop and removing the keyboard so you can thoroughly clean it and all underneath it. Clean it with isopropyl alcohol soaked q-tips and wipes. Put it back together again.

Check out a Synology Diskstation. They start at like $100. You throw a hard drive in and then connect the device to your router. You get a website to drag and drop files to for sharing with everyone in your house - whether you’re at home or not.

A white noise generator could be interesting to try - if you’ve already tried having a civil conversation about it anyway. Otherwise, record mundane conversations and leave them on repeat all day when you’re not at home.

You can get a motion activated sensor that mounts to a canned air bottle. Check out the “SSSCat” pet deterrent products as one example. When it detects motion, it lets out a loud hiss and scares the hell out of the cat. My cat went from chilling on the desk to just chilling on my feet instead when I sit at the desk.

If it’s a botnet attack, the only way with home internet is to get a new IP. Otherwise, configure your router’s firewall to drop packets from the IP that’s attacking you.
