I have some old pcs that I’m going to donate. What’s the safest way to erase the hard drives so none of my data is on there?

Otherwise, Killdisk is a great utility for this: https://www.killdisk.com/eraser.html Intel recommends it among other tools, but this one is my preferred tool as it works with classic hard drives, solid-state drives, and newer NVME drives without significantly shortening their lifespan: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000006198/memory-and-storage.html
