Someone is monitoring my google search history, google maps history, text chats, certain apps such as door dash and reporting all their findings to my wife via an anonymous number. I’m not doing anything suspicious or illegal but I don’t know why they feel the need to notify my wife through an anonymous number of all my phone activities. I have Norton and mcafeee installed . Is there a Better way to detect spyware on my phone or is there something else on my phone?

Divorce her that’s a huge invasion of your privacy. But before you do that do what these fine gentlemen in the comments tell you.

You gotta be some head of state or cartel leader to have an opportunity to buy (for a fuck load of money) Pegasus. Unless OP is El Chapito and his wife is a narco heiress, this ain’t that

Try doing a factory restore or using a different account. That worked for me after my parents put mspy on my iPhone to bypass this stupid software.

First, confront your wife about this shit. That shit is whack and is not normal in any way in a healthy relationship.

Second, go into your Google account and log it out of all devices, change your password, and enable 2 factor authentication… You clearly left yourself logged in on a device someone else is able to access or someone figured out your password.

She’s logged into your Google account, change the password and use the option to sign you out everywhere

Change your google account password from a new terminal (not your phone).

    Factory reset your phone.

    Set it up as new.

Recover your google id on the new phone.

    Install Authy.

    Setup 2fa for everything

You now have a slightly less convenient but more secure digital footprint.

Look into devices you’re logged in. This can be done through the Google app. Go to the Google app, click on your profile icon, manage Google account and in security scroll down and you’ll find the devices that you’re logged in on. If there is a device that you don’t recognise, log out of it or better log out of every device other than your phone. You can later log in on the devices that you use.

I’ll ignore the fact that someone is reporting information to your wife. That alone needs a separate discussion and is something you need to work out personally in your relationship.

On the technical aspect: Someone may have access to your accounts. Start by doing a factory reset and wiping your phone. Set it up fresh, and then change all your passwords, especially your google/gmail password, and enable 2 factor authentication wherever possible.
