  • I could have access to my wife’s FB and she can see mine, we do that all the time without hiding messages from eachother.

    BUT

To demand that, to want that from you in the first place, even if you are ok with that, its a major red flag. Yes its possible to make him login without accessing your email. Those are different passwords anyway (they may be the same, thats on you, but they are based on different platforms and hosts). But to make him do that is to bend to his will.

Today, is your facebook account. Tomorrow, your instagram. Then, the email. See the issue?

My advice (and many other users here): tell him goodbye. I know it may hurt, but its the best for you on the long run.

  • Sorry for you uncle.

If you have his email adress and access to password, its a starting point.

Now, to access the smartphones themselves, you will need the 4 number pin. At least in Portugal, mobile phones require a 4 digit pin to unlock when powered on. Then, finger print, pattern or face recognition to unlock and reach the “desktop” and icons and photos.

Mobile operators usually provide the 4 digit pin for the sim card, and they also provide a PUK number to insert after you insert an incorrect pin for a few times, usually 3.

So if you have the original boxes or smartphones documentation, search for the sim cards documentation with them. Take them to the operator store in person and ask them if they can unlock the smartphones.

Accessing the email, by resetting the password, may send a confirmation or code to one of those smartphones; but you will need them unlocked first. So first you should worry about unlocking the mobile phones, then, the emails.

I wish you best of luck!

  • Yes, when I had the other mb I tried a bunch of several connectors, sata power, flipping cables through different drives, you name it. Now I am using an M.2 NVMe so its one less sata power needed. The previous arranjement was an SSD but sata-powered. Plus the 4 sata drives. All worked together. Whenever I wanted to plug a 6th drive or the Hard drive bay, didn’t work. I had to unplug one of the others.

With the Asus mb, which has only 4 sata ports, I can’t connect a 5th sata device. So I also feel this is mb issue. This mb has less USB ports so I got a 7 port PCIe card, but it needs power from a sata cable. USB devices plugged there… They just don’t work. Unless I unplug one sata drive.

    Still searching…

  • I once bought a bluetooth hands-free for my calls. The voice-over is nice and pleasant, but the handle broke so it doesn’t stay still on the ear anymore. I bought another one. Now this voice is kind weird and most likely is the one you are refering, she says “connected” with such a toned voice I found a bit unpleasant to hear.

Recently I bought a pair of bluetooth headphones and guess… It plays the same woman… Damm… Should be the first one, much more pleasant… I think I may buy another one of the same model (or maker) of the first headset I got.

  • Windows updates do not wipe entire drives.

Look for a windows.old folder. Search by file names in the ssd drive.

Anyway, for future reference, do not store important data and documents in the windows hard drive. You must always save your work and files to other hard drives, internal or external, doesn’t matter. But do not store your files in same drive as windows. EVER.

Now, back to your files. f you don’t find them anywhere, and there is no windows.old folder, you could install a program for file recovery but… it will need to be installed in the computer. Being installed in windows ssd will likely reduce the chance of any file recovery. If you can install some recovery software in another drive, it would be great.

Then, make a search for deleted files and try to recover them. AVOID changing, editing, creating and moving files in that disk for now, while you don’t find your files.

  • Right click on an empty space in a folder. You have View, Sort by, and Group. Play with the sorting and pick what you prefer.

This is by folder setting, so if you do for one, others will NOT reflect that. You need to do this for other folders if you want the same sorting. But if you really want this for EVERY folder, just do once, and then go to options in explorer, you have a button there to apply current settings to other similar folders.

Those NAS devices are just boxes with a regular HDD inside.

This has happened to me at home, and lately at my work.

I use UFS Explorer recovery software to read the special partitions the hard drive has and to copy the files somewhere else. After that, you can just format the hard drive and use it on your computer as a storage space. Or get a hard drive rack and place loose hard drives there.
