not exactly sure if this is the right subreddit to put this in, but i can’t find anything on google to help. since yesterday, the files in my file explorer have been alphabetized, and i hate it but i don’t know how to undo it? i don’t even know how i did it in the first place. i’ve messed with everything i could think of, but nothing has put it back in the order of most recent first :/
i’m not that good at tech things, but i have an hp laptop and use internet explorer if that helps. sorry if any of this is wrong
Right click on an empty space in a folder. You have View, Sort by, and Group. Play with the sorting and pick what you prefer.
This is by folder setting, so if you do for one, others will NOT reflect that. You need to do this for other folders if you want the same sorting. But if you really want this for EVERY folder, just do once, and then go to options in explorer, you have a button there to apply current settings to other similar folders.
