My friend lost her phone and she received an email from Samsung which states that another Gmail account (her classmate’s Gmail) is logged into her phone. When the said classmate was confronted, she denied it and claimed that she borrowed the phone and signed in a long time ago. Is her reason valid? Is there a way to know when a Gmail account was logged in to a Samsung phone?

Go to the Google account, in the device whereabouts. It shows the location of all the devices logged in, and the last known location for offline devices.

Does she not use a pin lock or any type of lock?? Unless it was factory reset from the recovery menu?

Go to your google account settings, then to find my device… select you lost device to know it’s last recorded location… You can even ring the phone remotely if it is turned on.

she received an email from Samsung which states that another Gmail account (her classmate’s Gmail) is logged into her phone.

You usually get those emails a few minutes after logging into a new device, not “A long time ago”.

The email should state generally location, time and date.
