I choose 2k screen resolution over 4k because of this and also changed to 125% for Display settings> Scale as 100% was too tiny. It is the software you use that can be a problem. I had to update some I use as they no longer worked well in Windows 10 I use and one day 11 when they worked and looked fine in Windows 7.
You can right click on the program icon and go to Properties and see if Compatibility mode will help.

Also what does it say in Device Manager for the Network adapters?
Do a search for Device Manager. Open Network adapters. Do you have the correct driver?
Microsoft had installed their version instead of the manufacturers.
You can right click on the Intel or Realtek or whatever the name of yours is then go to Properties then the Driver tab. Note the driver version.

Get a external hard drive and copy your personal files over.

Backup your bookmarks, Restore Windows but first try the System Restore and go back before the issue happened.
