So I put my TV on my bed before moving it somewhere, took a hit from my bong, and instinctively sat down on it.
Stupid, I know.
My roommate the same day found a TV on the side of the road same specs, turned on, but now it is dead. Probably water damage.
Is it worth going somewhere to replace the broken TV LCD or doing it myself? Or is the market so cheap I might as well get a new one?
Hope this is the right sub! Thanks!
depends what you value more, time or money.
A brand new 40" Hisense LED TV with Google TV is available at Bestbuy for $139.99 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hisense-40-inch-class-a4-series-full-hd-1080p-led-google-tv/6550666.p?skuId=6550666 . You are not getting your TV fixed for less than that.
Just feels like a waste to throw both out… Especially knowing the Roku works I just fucking crushed the screen.
Same specs or same model? Same specs you are out of luck but the same model should work
I am not a TV technician but if you are not familiar with electronics gets a friend or someone to help.
Capacitors can hold a fair bit of charge even after being off for a while. Hiring a professional is probably not worth it, depending on the age and model
Instead of spending $250 on drugs you can use that money to buy a 50" tv at Walmart.
Replace marijuana with another drug called television… 📺😜
Where did you get 250 from? I also don’t want a 50" because I have a 40" and 43" already and was planning on using this as a secondary monitor.
Assumptions much?
