So I have a Huawei Windows 11 Laptop, which I got for Christmas about 2 years ago. Today I got a notification from Fortnite ( don’t laugh ) that my driver is outdated and I thought I had to install a new one from AMD because my cpu is from AMD but my driver is actually NVIDIA. It ducked up my Sound, can’t hear nothing. We tried uninstalling. Didn’t work. We tried just changing the Audio system and did a problem check from Windows. Didn’t help. My dad tried fixing it , he updated the Laptop. I thought it was fine after , it looked fine . I didn’t touch nothing. My dad did some more stuff. Now it apparently it’s for the fucking trash, it’s cooked whatever you call it. Someone please Help me here. What should I do???

Maybe the father tried (and fucked up) a BIOS update ?

Sounds to like that is what he did.

I mean even those are recoverable unless there is hardware damage, right ?

When you hear the term dual bios, it’s for situations like this. The motherboard will have a second BIOS in case a BIOS update corrupts the first one, so that the BIOS can be restored to a working version.
