While I love the UI updates in Cubase 13, I had to revert to Cubase 12 because of the super annoying graphic glitches that happen constantly in Cubase 13.
When interacting with the UI, parts of the screen don’t get properly refreshed, get swapped out, or turn completely white. This never happens in Cubase 12. When in the Steinberg Hub all buttons said ‘Quit Cubase’ after mousing over them I decided to roll back ;)
And it’s not a glitch every five minutes, it feels like every other interaction causes a minor or major graphics glitch. I can’t select a plugin when the plugin names get swapped out on roll over.
Back to 12 for now.
One of beta-testers said it would be better to wait for 13.0.20 - it’s got a lot of issues fixed.
Windows or mac? If windows, what graphics card and driver?
I have dpi switched off.Nvidia card,no issues.
Everything EXCELLENT here on Cubase 13 Pro for Mac, while using a 2017 MacBook
Not happening on my win11 system and regarding the new “quit Cubase” function button, amazing. Finally I can quit the application properly without it hanging half the time like in c12 and 11.
I’m frankly outraged by this. The idea that I need to buy an expensive update to get bugs fixed?
FLAWLESS FOR ME AND HAVE PUSHED IT
Oh thank the whoever that I am not alone. I see SO SO many GUI glitches. Constant redraws and shit that I am about to click on is NOT what it first looked like (e.g. a menu option changes as I mouse over to click on it).
This and various VST plugin issues that I’ve had and crashes. Yah… I think this is far from a stable release. I hope they plan to patch/fix it soon.
same.
What are your machine specs?
I always had some graphics glitches while on windows for many years in Cubase, no problems since moved to Mac
I’ve been tempted to move to mac for music software and maybe get an m3 as I run cubase while playing livensets on tour. But I have an m1 for day job and frankly the amount of faff and bullshit required to get literally anything to run on the damn thing is outrageous. I just know if I switched I’d likely have to leave half my plugins behind.
