  • Windows has a built in antivirus that’s pretty dang solid nowadays. I run that with no additions considering I’m cautious about my link clicks.

    Malwarebytes is free and good if you want to scan stuff that’s already downloaded.

    AVG is known for being decent and free, but it might cause some bloating. It’s not good to have two anti viruses at once.

    Tl;dr - the built in antivirus is fine if you’re using a PC




  • Ooh this is a neat issue. Haven’t encountered it before so I’m spitballing. Ramdrive Z is a temporary holder for installation files and/or backup files. So that could be related. Do you have any pending Windows Updates? What happens if you nuke those NVIDIA folders, give it a reboot, then try again via Device Manager?
