Reformat the PC, install LINUX. ITS fast again. Perhaps get a bigger screen with a faster refresh rate of 140 to 200hz and more memory.
The benefit of having your own box means you control what you store and keep all these others systems tend to downgrade what you control. This way you can still get a bigger TV and use your PC with a remote control that works for both.
