It’s worth noting that dealing with raw components and smaller ratings will carry more risk than dealing with integrated components or raw components of higher ratings.
What I do is I buy a new disk, I replace the disk, install windows on the new disk, and keep the old disk as an external disk.
You would need a separate phone number for your business, it can cost as cheap as like 6$ per month, especially if you use a VoIP provider.
As an added bonus your personal and business records are stored separately.
Phone number and IP address: Approximate location. Exact location if there’s a court ordered warrant would be easy.
Name: Exact location may be available if you’ve made it public in the past, like in a resume, company filings, etc… Again with a court warrant it would be easier.
So the first recommendation is to pay someone to do this and not do it yourself based on free advice you get on reddit.
If you own an office with 15 employees, you can find it within your budget. You may hire a full time IT admin, but at 15 employees it’s better to outsource to an IT MSP.
For providers, you will be depending mostly on Microsoft Windows for this, you will have an Active Directory with networked computers, as another user mentioned, the employees will log as regular users, and the IT Admin will have administrative access even remotely.
A third party RMM might be used as well, especially if you don’t have an in house IT guy and you depend on a remote IT MSP.
