Maybe you accidentally pressed fn+wifi button (fn+f12 maybe, check on your keyboard any wifi button). Could be airplane mode as well.
If not, it’s probably drivers issue (system files could die cuz your drive was moving and damaged), check your laptop model, go to official HP site, find WLAN drivers for your model and install.
If this won’t help either, probably shitOS update incident, reinstall to LTSC.
