It’s not OK. If I had to see an Ad while I was playing a game I would immediately uninstall that game and never look at it again. You might think nothing downloads, but you could be wrong. Tracking software could be installed so they can sell your internet habits for $$.
But I wouldn’t do that because of a security reason, I just don’t accept that Ads should be accepted so I do everything I can to remove them from my life.
Troubleshooting is all about removing possibilities. Plug your PS5 in physically to remove the Wifi as the culprit. Move to a friends house to remove your internet connection as the culprit.
You certainly can. Remove the wall plate and check. If the cable has 4 pairs of twisted colored cables then it can be reconfigured for Ethernet. If there are only 2 pairs then it’s phone.
Also, a Wire Toner would be of great benefit if you need to troubleshoot what jack goes where.
