    Most likely a dead CMOS battery. The CMOS battery is what keeps a small amount of things powered to store things like config data and data/time. If this does, when the BIOS/UEFI goes to boot it won’t find the data and will essentially lock itself up.

    Your chances of getting a solution are greatly increased if you provide the name, brand, model number of your laptop.

    That error means the BIOS (the system before windows loads) wasn’t saved due to there being no power. If your laptop is older then Basic’s comment about CMOS battery applies here.
