Sorry if this is a dumb question, I keep getting mixed answers whenever I search for the answer so I just want to be sure.

I accidently turned something on in windows and now one of the games I play gets a lot less frames than usual so I want to reinstall. I dont mind losing my personal files, but I want to know if reinstalling completely resets all of my windows settings, nvidia geforce settings, etc.

Any overall advice or details on what reinstalling does exactly would be greatly apprechiated.
