Sorry if i used the wrong tag. Specs below. I recently purchased all of the parts for a new computer except for the gpu which was working fine in my older computer. The box for the psu (not the shipping box) was damaged over where the cables sat and I didn’t notice any damage to anything Internal to the box (cables, foam, etc.). I got it to where when I press the power button I hear the psu tick on and it sounds like it’s fan turned on, but that is it. No lights, no fans. There are no lights near the button to indicate that it is on. It is supposed to have a face panel that tells me the cpu temp, but that is also dark. I’ve tried reconnecting all of the cables and I didn’t notice an issue. I originally had the face panel buttons plugged into the COM port header. But fixed that after nothing happened when pressing the power button. I unplugged the gpu and sdd to see if it was a power related thing. I already reseated the cpu, none of those seemed to make a difference. I did notice that there is an 8 pin and 4 pin power connector near the cpu which the manual says I can either plug in just the 8 pin or the 8 pin and the 4 pin. The psu I got didn’t come with a 4 pin connector, so I’m not sure if it is needed and how I might go about getting one or if another psu is needed for that.

Check the CPU 12v connector(s) at the top left of the motherboard these often come loose during transport.
