Not sure if this is a hardware or software problem. Legion T5 2610B6 Computer is updated, as are drivers.
If I leave my computer on and it goes to sleep, I can’t get it back on. Once it goes to sleep, I can’t get it out without booting from bios. I have tried turning the monitor on and off, pressing the button, messing with the keyboard and mouse. Nothing will wake it.
If I try to turn it on, I get the black screen of death. My monitor says nothing is connected. The legion boot screen doesn’t show up. I have to enter bios and boot to get it to work.
It seems like if I turn it off in time and don’t let it go into sleep, it boots just fine.
Nothing has really changed except I backed up some photos in my D drive. Is it having trouble booting from there because of my photos (and do I need to transfer them elsewhere?).
I’m not a tech savvy person and can’t seem to figure this out.
Thank you, reddit wizards.
Edit: I ran Lenovo’s hardware test, and it shut down when testing the drives… so I assume it has to do with that. How do I fix it?
You can test your drives by running a CDI report. Please do so, and send me the results here for me to look over for you https://rtech.support/docs/factoids/cdi.html
I will do once I’m home! Thank you
