Hello everyone,

So recently for some very strange and unexpected reason my PC keeps not responding. As soon as I log in everything seems fine, but after some time the desktop stops responding and all the items on my desktop disappear. As soon as I click on my desktop and try to access the settings or my drives it stops responding again, turns black and this keeps on repeating. Whenever I shut down my PC it takes an extremely long time, as well as an unusually long time to boot up. I did a disk check in CMD and my disk drives are working fine. I have a 1TB HDD and 2 SDD (windows is install on one of the SSDs).

Has anyone had any similar problems or is anyone familiar with this problem? I can’t seem find anything related to my problem online. If so, what can I do to fix this problen.

Any suggestions/advice is appreciated. Thanks!

P.S. My PC is custom built and I have had it for about 4 years.

    Remove all drives except system one - with windows, see if boot time and shutdown is ok. If it is not, problem is, hopefully with only that drive (alternative is most likely motherboard). If it passes, add other drives one by one - while computer is turned off, to eliminate faulty one.
