Hey :)
So for some time now my computer has been crashing while playing videogames, screen goes black and fans go max. And not any high demanding either, everything from elden ring to minecraft or even golf with your friends.
My temps are fine (70-80 ° Celsius), my graphic card usage could be at 80% and would still occur. I have stress tested but it seems to be almost random when it happens?
Ive ddu’d my graphic drivers and updated my bios.
My pc is a prebuilt by Komplett (norwegian trusted tech company) so no faulty loose plugs or something id assume? Ive had my pc for just about 3 years.
My specs
intel® Core™ i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
16 GB ram
Motherboard: Rog STRIX B-460-F gaming
The crash report comes up as a Event id 41 with the source being Kernel-Power
If you could help me out, i would be grateful. Thanks
I am hoping these are temps while games are running, they are fine for that, but very bad idle temps.
How hot is your mobo’s chipset getting? Sounds like the behavior of a melting chipset. I would imagine that if the chipset is just sitting at 90+ C then a replacement mobo is the course of action.
