I have a 10 year old laptop (Samsung series 7 Chronos) that I would like to use for some volunteer work that uses specific software (ESRI ArcMap Pro for GIS). Since it’s so old, it doesn’t meet the minimum requirements or recommended specs (see below). But it doesn’t seem too bad? I’m wondering if getting a new video card, more RAM, and whatever is needed for the OpenGL extension (can’t seem to figure that one out) is a viable way to go, or just replacing the whole thing makes the most sense (cost-wise.) It just seems so wasteful when it still works (though slowly). Can anyone weigh in on this? Below is from the scan of my laptop for requirements:

Requirement: CUDA support is not required to run ArcGIS Pro but is required to run specific tools. It can also accelerate some Spatial Analyst tools.

    OpenGL version, CUDA core computation, and DirectX are all factors of the GPU that’s soldered onto the motherboard. An upgraded laptop would be necessary to change these.
