I want to buy a monitor. It says it has 280hz refresh rate and a 60hz native refresh rate.

What does this mean?

It supports 240hz native refresh rate. Changing settings allows 280hz, which appears to be “real” 280hz, possibly just resulting in lower image quality/color accuracy. There is no interpolation of any kind to produce frames. See https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/asus/vg279qm
