Hi, I poured a little bit of isopropyl alcohol onto a couple keys on my laptop keyboard, a Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 for the purpose of cleaning some stuck keys. Unfortunately, the computer started to go on the fritz after I left it to dry a little bit, and then turned it on. I only left it to dry for a couple minutes, before I did, is it possible that it’s on the fritz now because of a short? The laptop is deciding when it wants to turn on, and off, on its own, and sometimes the keyboard doesn’t work, and it goes to sleep then back on in an instant. Is it possible I can do anything to salvage it?

isopropyl alcohol is as conductive to electricity as water… pouring it will move crap into wherever it’s going and then evaporate, leaving the crap wherever it will…

if the components it bridged got damaged when they were shorted, they stay damaged…

like u/YogiBoh says, bring it to a tech and hope no damage was permanent…
