Im at a loss. This laptop is less than six months old (Dell Inspiron-7000 Dedicated Processor) and it now completely fuked. Randomly crashed on me, and would not turn on or restart unless I closed it and reopened it. Even then it wouldnt boot. After doing all the normal things to figure it, I tried a recovery which failed. Then I did a clean install of Windows 11 from a USB. I went through the whole process and it seemed like it worked. However 15 minutes after I was back in Windows the screen slide comes down and says - “Please slide down to close Windows,” a few seconds later it shuts off. I try turn it on, nothing. Close and open, screen lights up but wont boot. BACK to square 1.

I’ve owned several laptops and I have never experienced anything like this. I know no one can fix an issue in a message board but just curious if anyone has an idea what this is - a software issue that is fixable or something that will need to be replaced - the motherboard etc.

Thanks in advance

What I cant understand is why you did not contact Dell support for warranty? Which is now likely void since you did install the factory image.

You should have a look at the event viewer to try and narrow down your issue:

If that’s what I should have done than I guess I screwed myself. I’m not a computer guy so I just tried to fix it myself.
