For Christmas, I ordered my son a Horizon 2 Pro from Starforge. It’s got an Intel Core i5-12400F and a rtx 4060 Ti. I’m wondering whether I should get him a 1080p or 1440p monitor? I myself use a 4080 on 1440p but I’m really not sure if a 4060 Ti can handle it. What do you guys think? This might be a dumb question but thought I’d chance it and ask Reddit, as I am very new to PC gaming. Thank you!

The 4060ti 16GB is a borderline 1440p card for modern titles.

It averages 75 FPS 1440p Ultra on the Toms Test Suite. This means that once you do all of the slider tweaks you can expect a roughly 100 FPS experience on these games.

For older games and esports titles it will do fine.
