For Christmas, I ordered my son a Horizon 2 Pro from Starforge. It’s got an Intel Core i5-12400F and a rtx 4060 Ti. I’m wondering whether I should get him a 1080p or 1440p monitor? I myself use a 4080 on 1440p but I’m really not sure if a 4060 Ti can handle it. What do you guys think? This might be a dumb question but thought I’d chance it and ask Reddit, as I am very new to PC gaming. Thank you!

I feel like I am the only one that thinks this way… 1440p with a 4060ti is a terrible match. The 128bit bus won’t be able to handle well high resolutions. I recommend a 1080p monitor

No, you are absolutely correct, its not the best pairing. Buying a 1440p monitor to future proof when you recently got a 4060ti makes no sense.

Gamers nexus dismantled the 4060ti, the gpu is factually underwhelming
