I recently just got hacked. A hacker hacked into my email account and was able to gain access to everything that I used my email for, including accounts across countless websites (thankfully not this one), and worst of all, my bank account with all my savings. Right now, he’s currently demanding ransom by sending emails to me through my own email. What do I do?

Without more info to go by, this is probably a scam… They would just take your money if they had access. Edit to add: It is very easy to spoof where email is coming from

Probably just ignore it - look up various extortion scams, they are very common.

In case you are compromised in some way, change passwords from a different computer and enable 2 factor authentication.

    Run a malwarebytes scan

First of all don’t reply or sent any money.

Check your pc for Keylogger. Use Windows defender and malwarebytes.

If it found a Keylogger re install windows.

    Change your passwords

    Enable 2fa

Remove all devices from the accounts

    And contact your bank

    And you’re fine.
