I’m on a quest to streamline my web browsing and am looking for a way to quickly toggle back to the last tab I was actively using in my browser. I’m not referring to the sequential tab switching (like Ctrl+Tab), but a method that acts like Alt-Tab for browser tabs, allowing me to switch back to the previously active tab, regardless of its order. Is there a browser extension, setting, or shortcut in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge that can achieve this? Any advice to enhance browsing productivity with this functionality would be greatly appreciated!

Chrome does not have this behavior natively, but it can be added with extensions. FireFox will allow you to set and use a hotkey for this. I believe it’s Ctrl + Tab by default, but it’s been a bit since I’ve used FF.
