So my old computer crapped out for good, and finally pushed me to buying a new one. I managed to remove the data cables and hard drive with all of my data from my old PC (which should still be intact.) However, it has windows 10 and other stuff on it, and I bought an iBuyPower Gaming RDY SLHBG226 with windows 11 installed, and even then I’m not sure whether I have to wipe it clean to use it or not. Is there a way I can just install the drive into the new pc without formatting, and then move my data on to the SSD before wiping the HDD and then using it as additional storage? Or will I have to spend the money on a docking station to move the data? Thank you!

There are going to be additional SATA ports on the motherboard. Just get yourself an extra SATA cable, plug your old drive into one of the unused ports, plug it into a spare power connector and just login to the Windows 11 installation on your new computer and transfer the files over like it was a USB drive.
