Lately I’ve done some benchmarks and recorded my gpu usage which averaged 40%.
I really don’t know what to do since I’ve tried everything (changing power plan, nvidia settings, driver updates etc.) but I might just go to the guy who made my pc and pay him to see what’s up.
If anyone can help out it’ll be a huge help.
Specs:
RTX 3060
i5 10400f
16GB 3000MHz RAM
600W PSU
1TB SSD, 2TB HDD
PRIME B560M-K Mobo
On my benchmark it said my GPU is the problem but it’s quite literally the most expensive part in my whole build so I don’t get how it could be the GPU.
this is a cpu bottleneck, whenever your playing a game see and 99% cpu usage and 40% gpu its the cpu or vice versa
I ran a quick test using https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/
"Intel Core i5-10400F is too weak for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 on 1920 × 1080 pixels screen resolution for General Tasks.
This configuration has 31.8% of processor bottleneck ."
Indeed, this might be the problem. I myself struggled with a bottleneck a couple of months ago with an NVIDIA RTX 3060 and an Intel i5 2500k. I upgraded to a Ryzen 5800x and the problem was fixed.
If you can’t solve the problem through any other way, that is the CPU I recommend you buy.
That’s general tasks. You’d have to go Graphical Tasks since OP is talking about games.
Are your games stored on hdd instead of the SSD?
You could try this tweak:

Which may help.
I’m using an i5-7600K with an RTX 3060, and haven’t run into any real bottleneck issues outside of trying to emulate PS3/xbox360.
Ill check it out thanks
already had it turned on by the way
