Just as the title says, I spilled a decently large cup of milk on the keyboard of my laptop. It immediately turns off and when it did, I disconnected it from the power. while I was carrying it over to a sink to drain it over i tried to turn it on, which i now known is a mistake. i currently have it open and pitched up like a tent, I’ve taken the cover off of the bottom and hit it with some compressed air and a blowdryer until all visible traces of milk are gone. now the power button is flashing and the caps lock light is on for some reason. I’m about to go buy a bag of rice to let this dry in, idk if that’s a real thing you should do or not but I’ve heard it a lot so i figured it can’t hurt. I’m just worried it might have ruined the motherhoard or the battery or something. Should i be doing anything else or anything differently? It’s and HP laptop from about 3 years ago I think? I’m not sure what the exact model is

Those Elitebooks have a bottom that slides off with a single latch, with an easily removable battery, that’s the first thing you should have done.
