i ended up spilling some toothpaste on laptop due to my very bad habit of gaming while brushing my teeth and now I’m fucked. I’ve turned it upside down and placed a paper towel on the keyboard but what else should i do right now? Also the amount spilled was very little so what are the chances of my laptop surviving? And yes, you can shit on me in the comments for my actions, i deserve it

Quick way: unplug it, remove any battery, and don’t turn it on. Let it dry out, use a bunch of isopropyl alcohol wipes until it’s as clean as you can get it.
Ideally: Take out the battery, don’t plug it in, don’t turn it on. Head over to ifixit.com and see if they have a guide for opening your laptop and removing the keyboard so you can thoroughly clean it and all underneath it. Clean it with isopropyl alcohol soaked q-tips and wipes. Put it back together again.
EDIT: Make sure isopropyl alcohol is 90%
the keyboard stopped working before i turned it off. does this mean that the keyboard is done for good?
Maybe - it’s a worth a try letting it dry out first. You will need a repair if it doesn’t work.
