I have an ssd and a hard drive, both have windows but I use the one on the ssd, how can I delete the os from the hard drive so I can free up some space?
The drive will have at least 3 partitions that you can see in Disk Management. You can delete some of them there but Windows won’t let you delete the hidden “System” partitions.
To do that you need diskpart, a CMD utility in Windows. Here’s a step by step: How to Delete a Windows Recovery Partition
Be absolutely sure you are selecting the correct drive, there is no recovery or undo from this. Force deleting the partitions will free up the entire drive space and then you can format it in Disk Management.
Do you want to wipe everything from the one on the hard drive? Go into Disk Management, carefully identify the one you want to wipe and delete all the partitions from it, then add new partitions
Again this method will _wipe_everything_ from the HDD.
