Hi. someone sent me an email claiming he saw my face while watching porn. But my camera is broken. Today he sent another e-mail with my email address and password on it. For some times I had a messages on my G-mail account which is linked to Outlook (The one which the hacker reached me) sending the code to sign in. I didn’t care at first thinking it was my old outlook email with the same Id.

I am not worried or anything, but annoyed as he got access to my information. What should I do? I changed my password.

What… information of yours did this… hacker, get?

I saw you slap a 12 year old at Walmart last week. Pay me $20 or I will send the video to your mother.

    Like bro, come on.

Very common scam. They’ll say they have recorded you doing something embarrassing and will leak it if you don’t send them money. They will also allow you your email address and “password” to try and scare you into thinking they’ve hacked you. The password they have will have been from one of the major password leaks that’s happened in the past.

Anything that uses that password shown on the email, change it. Then enable 2 factor authentication (2FA) where possible.

The passwords they use are typically from old dumped data breaches. It’s a very well known scam, I’ve gotten like ten of the exact same sextortion emails so far despite never owning a webcam. They have nothing on you, just change your passwords and stuff.

Theirs also a variation where they “prove” that hack by sending you your password. Normally from an old hack of something unrelated https://haveibeenpwned.com/

Aka good reminder if your not using a password manager yet and reusing the same password time to get serious on that.

get something like that every few months with a btc address for payment, someone on fb got an identical phisher going on about cp, can understand it on a laptop, but have a desktop and the camera is hung up with its lead.

find the client ip and report to host :)
