Yesterday I moved my pc to the floor(was on top of desk, my floor never gets wet and the pc has “foots” and the floor is always cleaned daily)

and I played all day perfectly well

today when I went to start pc, it said “display port NO SIGNAL”

switched to hdmi so GPU isn’t dead

tried the other port and still the same

the monitor is asus vg248 144hz

help pls

Also the pc sometimes(while playing video games) makes a sound of disconnect and says that the video something has been desconnected and I restart the pc

my gpu is a amd Radeon 480 and vou is ryzen 5 5600x

    My vg248 does the same thing occationally, normally involves a lot of replugging the cables, both video and power and sometimes it works again.
    As far as I recall, it’s not an uncommon problem with that monitor. Which is the reason I use it as a second display these days.

    It could also just be a aging GPU, the RX 480 is a old graphics card after all.

    And of course, try another DP cable.
