My gaming pc is in one room, sometimes id like to be able to game in a different room…is there any software which could enable me to stream from my gaming pc to my laptop and I could plug my controller into the laptop and game that way? Does a solution for this exist?

Steam has this function built-in.
There are also non-Steam versions like Moonlight Game Streaming.
Ahh thank youuu so much!! i had no idea steam had this function. Ive installed moonlight and it took 2 minutes to setup and its all performing very well! Unfortunately my laptop only has a 720p screen so its not amazing looking but nevertheless it works! Thanks again!
