Hello everyone,A few weeks ago I built my first gaming PC. When I ran it everything was working great, but the PSU was making a high pitched noise that got a bit quieter when I turned off my PC, but only really went away when I unplugged my PC completely. And the GPU was also making a loud coil whine. I thought the parts might be faulty, so I sent them back and ordered newer (even higher quality) PSU and GPU.

Now, after installing the new parts, the GPU has a slight coil whine, but it’s barely audible. However, the new PSU makes exactly the same high pitched noise as the old one. Now I am confused as to what could be causing this. I thought it might be my power strip but after getting a new one nothing has changed.

I would really appreciate any help or advice on how to solve this problem.

A list of parts would offer some good insight!

Does the issue happen if the tower were plugged into another breaker in your house? Perhaps there’s a grounding or other issue with your house’s breaker on that port.
