Hello everyone,
I’m in the process of upgrading my system’s RAM from 16GB to 32GB. Currently, I have a setup of 2x8GB 3200 MHz Kingston KHX3200C16D4/8GX modules. If you’re curious about how I got this information, here’s the step-by-step:

  1. Open CMD and run as administrator.
  2. Type the command: wmic memorychip get capacity, manufacturer, partnumber, speed
Now, the challenge I’m facing is related to the recent acquisition of HyperX by Kingston. I wish to purchase RAM with the same specifications as my current hyper x modules, but the branding and model numbers have changed under Kingston. Specifically, my motherboard is the B450M DS3H V2.
My main question is this: Can I confidently choose any Kingston RAM variant with 8GB and 3200 MHz per stick, or do I need to pinpoint a specific model to ensure I unleash the fullest capabilities for my RAM?
Appreciate any advice or recommendations! Thanks!

In theory any stick should work (at the lowest speed out of all sticks). In practice it’s finnicky and depends on the memory controller/motherboard/BIOS. No way to know other than try.
