I was charging my phone (iPhone XR, i have whatever the most current iOS is) through usb to my work computer. I was prompted if I wanted to allow photos on the computer, to which i said don’t allow.

When doing something like this, is there still data transferring between the devices? Hypothetically if my employer wanted to, could they see what was on my phone? If so, is it the sort of thing where they can see it only when plugged in? Or would it still be visible after unplugging? Didn’t do anything inappropriate while charging, but have plenty of pictures and texts on my phone that are way beyond inappropriate

I was on lte on my phone, and employer wifi on the computer

The answer is no. No sane I.T people wants your phone to be mounted on a company pc since that is a security risk. Those usb ports on company pc are usually disabled by default…

Unless you work for a secret government agency and/or there are reasons why the secret service want to look at your phone, there are no exploits easily enough available for this to be practical, provided you click don’t trust.
