I’m trying to help a friend setup storage for his office network, sorta like a personal cloud. He’s not interested in using cloud storage because he works with sensitive data. He’s asked me to setup the storage to be accessible via wired connection only. I was thinking I’d set up a NAS for the office and get it setup through the network but I was unsure of how to set it up to be accessible through a wired connection only, so that you cannot connect from wifi. I haven’t bought the equipment so I’m sure once I have it and can play around with it I can figure it out but if anyone could tell me how easy it is or give me any tips I’d really appreciate it.

I used FreeNas for mine. It was straightforward, but the permissions were a little tricky. I’m not sure how you’d go about excluding wifi clients.
