I’m sorry for the formatting etc.
I’m have a Strix Scar 16 running win11 KB5031455, and my GPU 4080m is on 546.01. haven’t had time to play a lot of games recently as I’ve been busy, I played a fair bit of Starfield when it came out and I never had trouble averaging 90+fps, now all of a sudden I’m getting 40 and it’s so inconsistent, just constant stuttering. tried other games and it’s everything, really am not sure what’s going on that would have messed things up so badly. I updated Windows and reinstalled my GPU driver and neither worked, I ran diskcheck, which didn’t make a difference either. I hadn’t touched anything in armory crate (yes know it’s trash and try to avoid it when possible) had several updates in there which tried and none of them made a difference ignored all of the lighting control updates). Any suggestions or others that have run into this before just go and reinstall Windows would be appreciated.
Have you checked the event viewer?
Search for event viewer, open it. On the left side you well see window, open it. On the right side it will have several names select system. Create custom view, check the boxes, critical, warning, error. Then check ok and ok, it will ask for a name I just put in system.
I didn’t but didn’t see any errors, Nvidia just released a new driver today and that seems to have magically fixed everything thankfully!
