hey!
couple month’s ago i posted here as well, asking for help with the same problem.
my computer randomly freezes, the only way i can unfreeze it is by holding the on/off button till it shuts off. sometimes it also “turns off”, no signal flashes on my monitors but the pc stays on (i can still see the fan lights etc). i can still hear whatever’s going in on my PC (youtube vids for example), but besides that it’s fully unresponsive. just now my screens turned black, i could still tell they were on (since normally they flash no signal during the crash), but i wasn’t able to use my pc i could however still hear my game and discord call.
i’m at my wits end with this, not knowing what the issue can be. my pc was fine for 3-4 weeks without crashes, but recently it started again, sometimes multiple times a day. i however don’t know why or how my pc was okay for so long.
all my drivers are up-to-date. here is a list with my specs:
OS: Windows 11 x64
Motherboard: - MSI B450M Pro VDH Plus
CPU: - Ryzen 3700X 8 Cores
RAM: - GeiLSuper Luce RGB 1x16GB 3000mhz + Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB 3200mhz
GPU: - NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super 8GB
Storage: - 240GB Kingston A400 / Samsung 870 QVO 1TB / 3TB Sata3 HDD
PSU: 750 Watt Cooler Master
i also added my two most recent dump files (both from 11th of november). unfortunately it rarely creates one since my pc doesn’t fully crash and shut off on it’s own. : https://www.mediafire.com/file/0xsbeb0tkd637yo/Minidumps.zip/file
any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! :)
Since you still hear correct audio in the background when this happens it’s unlikely to be an issue with your RAM. I’d suspect the GPU or the GPU drivers.
Does it only happen when your GPU is under load?
