Hi guys, I want to completely erase everything on a mac, to the point where any of my data can never be recovered under any circumstances. Is this possible ? i am seeing that even if you erase all of your settings and do a factory reset, your hard drive can still be backed up and recovered. How can i avoid this ?

Replace the hard drive. Destroy the original
Can’t do that on modern Macbooks the drive is soldered.
You don’t want people using your computer to find your weird porn stash? Factory reset.
You are being investigated for serious crimes and you don’t want any evidence left? Drill a hole through the drive.
