I’ve filled my google drive with photos because I never remember to turn off automatic saving from google photos. Is there any simple way to move everything from Google drive to a physical drive?

Perhaps request Google Takeout?
Deselect everything but Google drive and it should download everything.
You could use rclone to download everything
