in a very undramatic fasion. Shortly after when turning on, it gave “irql not less or equal” which I read could be memory related. However, now it only turns on for 15 seconds at a time before turning off and on again. Could it still be memory related?

open it and make sure that all the expansion cards are fully seated in their slots, memory and GPU especially, they may have backed out partially from the shock.
