I can be wrong, but I have noticed an increase in stutters/lag while carrying out a few heavy tasks like multiple tabs in brave browser. So my question is simple, can the same frequency cheap ram bottleneck my pc. I have a nvme 4th gen ssd, so no problem there. A decent cpu, gpu as well.

Stutter / lag rather comes from low RAM rather than slow RAM. What’s your RAM usage when you’re experiencing these issues? Aren’t you simple exceeding the limit?

There is one thing I haven’t mentioned before, so let me write another comment. Did you check temperatures? Maybe stuttering comes from throttling? Modern operating systems lower CPU clocks if the temperature spikes.

You said CPU/GPU etc are below 50%, how below? If they’re close to 50%, especially CPU and disk, it’s enough to cause a bit of stutter on occasion.

Neither CPU, nor GPU would cause stuttering if their utilisation is below 100%. it’s likely the hard drive, that’s causing the bottleneck.
