My dad is an IT guy, and for years now, he’s been telling me that he installed some software to monitor my history, even when I use incognito. I didn’t believe him, because if that was true, I’d be dead by now. But two days ago, he told me he added some software for real this time. I didn’t believe him, until I heard him tell our guests about this software. I checked my laptop for recently opened and installed apps and couldn’t find anything, I don’t see anything suspicious on the task manager. (I do not know much about all of this stuff) What should I do? Is he bluffing?

You could use a vpn that supports wire guard and tunnel it through https. But that’s probably a bit technical. If you have an android phone he may have installed an app like Cerberus, or perhaps he has a pihole installed on the network and can monitor your traffic that way.

If your using your phone not connected to the WiFi network he won’t be able to see the traffic.

What would work for you in this case would be to use a HTTP or HTTPS proxy.
