For 1080p, I’d say 10Mbps is enough. For 4K, I’d go with at least 30Mbps.
I personally only get 2mbps on my ps5 and i can run 108pp off that
Youtube at 1080p works with 8Mbps. Or at least worked in 2019 when I had to deal with that speed.

Correction, you can do 4k that looks like 480p. The bitrate is probably non existant.
dude probably chooses the 4k option on yt and when it keeps on playing without buffering he probably assumes it’s playing back properly
but the reality is that yt will scale back the resolution on its own if the bandwidth isn’t enough lol
There’s a different between MB and mb (1MB = 8 mb), there’s no way you watch YouTube with 1 mbps
i do lol my internet is so bad its always at 1 mb/s download speed i usually watch on 480p
