I don’t have WhatsApp, knowing it is “compromised” already but I’ve noticed a lot of iPhone 15 (series) having these small “bugs” here and there. So that just might be it. Try uninstalling WhatsApp for a bit (if you can afford to), then try swiping again on IG. See what it does. If it leads you to a browser, then it is an Apple/Meta connivance. I’ve noticed recently of Instagram’s enhanced “mind reading” capabilities, almost invading subconsciously. Instead if peddling you with stuff you will like, it will flood you with “seemingly” irrelevant ads/reels/posts you will most likely won’t like, hence triggering an emotional “response”, i.e annoyance. What they’ll do with that data, is yet to be revealed, since they already had database of what you “like”, they need to be certain of what you don’t.
I have everyone around me using iPhones. I use an android mod version of Instagram and this NEVER happens. They even get jealous that I could directly “download” from Instagram. LOL. What’s happening with Apple?
